97 Volvo Non Turbo
It would be possible but extremely expensive. Your best bet, if you absolutely have to have a turbo is to sell your NA and find a good turbo version. Alternately you could find a used turbo engine and do a swap. Not as expensive as converting, but still probably a pretty good chunk of money. That pretty much covers all your options.
Possible, probably. Feesable, probably not. We have talked about this to many people on this board many times and the answer boiled down to: It would be better to sell you N/AVolvo for as much as you can and then buy a Turbo model. There is just too much that would need to be changed and modded to have it converted to a turbo model. If you search through here, you can probably find a thread that talked about this quite a bit. I get on the volvospeed.com site occasionally too, and they say the same thing.
Yes it can be done. It isn't easy and in the long run wouldn't be as good as an already turboed model.
-Downpipe
-Catback
-ECU tune
-IC piping
-Intercooler
-Vaccum lines
-Intercooler hoses
-Clamps
-Turbo
Etc... This is what you would need. However like the rest said it is easier to just sell the N/A and buy a turbo model, then mod the turbo model.
