I found a set of these stupid cheap, advertised as 98-00 xc. Am I correct that they will work on a 850 with euro rails? I've searched and googled with no definate answer other than xc rails may be thicker that the 850 ones.

 

Big difference in the 850 rails and the '98 XC rails. I have XC rails and have been keeping my eyes out for a pair of those cross bars.

 

I see the difference, do the clamps on these not adjust? I will pm you a link to another set.
