Angry ABS Issue?

Hey guys...I'm having a weird issue here which sounds like my ABS. Under 35MPH, I will occassionly hear a buzzing like a motor and if I hit the brakes it feels like the ABS is kicking on. It only last for about 2 seconds. The ABS light is not on. If I did have a ABS module failure or ABS sensor failure, shouldn't the ABS light come on? I really have no idea what to check or what to look for. Any ideas?

No, brakes have been working fine. The rears I replaced last year and the fronts still have about 50% left. No brake fluid leaks either.

Now that you made me think about it, when I did replace the rears last year, the rotors were right on the boarderline of being too thin (Chilton's said, I think, anything below 9.6mm should be replaced and mine were 9.7mm) Do you think if the rotors became too thin, it would trip the ABS? The weird think is that I heard that motor once or twice when I wasn't braking.

Does anybody know how many ohms I should be reading if I put an ohm meter on the ABS sensors?

Ok...Found the problem. The driver side ABS ring had some gunk on it that was covering 2-3 notches. The ABS sensor was also full of gunk. Cleaned both off with a dry rag (did the passenger side too which wasn't that dirty) and took it for a 10 mile drive with no problems.
