Default ABS Module removal

Hi all, i have the very common ABS light problem which has been tracked down to the module being faulty. I can get three of the screws out no problem, but can't shift the last one which is hiddenhas a knackered head!

Any suggestions?

They are a major pain might be easier to remove the bolts for the bracket and try to turn the entire ABS pump assembly and get to it better. Then you might be able to tap a smaller socket on and get it loose.

Hmm ive managed to get the bracket screws off but the brake hoses don't seem very flexible, and i obviously don't want to break them.

Is there any way of cuttinf off the offending bolt without hurting anything else?

You will end up trashing the module cutting the screw.
If the screw isn't that messed up you might be able to find a really good inverted torxes bit that might still be able to get it loose.

Yes the lines are hard but sometimes you can get them to slightly bend enough to get to it easy.

I've ordered a set of inverted torx bits of ebay so hopefully one of them will suit.

Otherwise i think i'll just remove the whole module and just have to bleed the brakes.

Thank you

I got it off, got the part number and it will be off for repair monday.

Thanks for the replies
