Default AC

Any thoughts on what might be causing my AC to stop blowing cold air after about 20minutes. Once the car is parked for a while (half day or so) it blows cold air again for approximately 20minutes.

'96 850 GLT ~200000miles

Thanks.

Default RE: AC

If the air is cold for the 20 minutes it is on it is likely the AC compressor clutch gap issue. There are instructions pinned at the top of the forum about it. Usually it will work till the clutch heats up and then the gap becomes too much and the compressor no longer engages. Good news is Tech pinned a fix at the top that does not require removal of the compressor I think.

Good luck with it,
Rob

Yes, it is most likely the AC compressor clutch. Mine did the same thing until I fixed it using Tech's instructions. You might want to also check the refrigerant level/pressure too.
