Brakes screeching!
Hi all,
Have recently developed a severe screeching coming from the rear left wheel of my 1995 850. This is usually preceeded by a 'thud'. Often occurs when pulling away from a stop or at low speeds. Pads are quite new- (less than 2 months old). What could this be? sticking caliper? Any advice welcome.

Hi all and thanks for your feedback.
No roadkill stuck to the left rear...
Retainer springs/brace seem fine.
The pads are good quality from German & Swedish. Could it be a sticky (randomly engaging/disengaging) caliper?
A Bmr enthusiast pointed out that his 325 had very similar symptoms, and his was due to a siezed caliper.
Is this something any of you guys have come across?
Or is this a 'bit of grease on the backs of the pads' job?
Thanks...
