AC Fan works great but dies on hot
I did try searching for an answer before posting but came up snake eyes.
My AC fan seems to work great. I can run AC cold all day long. But when I turn on the heat my fan will die and only start again if I shut off the motor and fire it back up.
Any ponderings on my conundrum? If not I shall have to to consult the bones.

Sounds like the motor bearing are starting to go.
If you pull out the glove box , see if next time it doesnt spin tap the back of the motor with hammer or driver handle to see if that frees it up.
Cleaning it and Lubing it will defiantly prolong its life but take a look at the brushes, where mine were touching their contacts it was all grooved up, I sanded the contact down a little so they made a better contact. That only worked for about 3 weeks... The brushes were gone when I pulled it next..

Thanks guys. I must be confused because I thought the same fan that blows cold air from the AC also blows hot air from the heater. It sounds like there are 2 different fans?
My deal is that the fan that blows cold air from the AC never dies. But when I have the hot air on the heat will die if I turn it up too much.
