Default Advice on Removing sunroof cover in '94 850?

The moonroof/sunroof cover (the sliding solid door) in my '94 850 was shedding its headliner covering when I bought it. It was a pain in the butt, so I finally just pulled the fabric off it. Rather than glue it back in place, I think I'd like to paint the underside of the plastic to match the interior (tan) and leave it as-is. It doesn't look half bad black, actually, but I think a can of Krylon would make it almost unnoticeable.

Any tips on removing this cover? Is there a way to do it without removing the rest of the headliner? If I can't do that, I don't think I'm interested. It's not slowing me down.

Thanks, that looks pretty straightforward. I kept the fabric, so after seeing yours, maybe I'll tack it back up. I figured I'd just have to do it over and over, but maybe it's not so bad.
