Aftermarket Wheels

Aftermarket Wheels
I just purchased a set of mounted tires for my 850 over the internet. The wheels were not drilled for the alignment pin. Does this pin have any other function that to make mounting the wheels easier? The mounting holes on these aftermarket wheels were not countersunk like the stock alloy wheels. I mounted them with the stock lug bolts that have the tapered shoulder to match the countersink in the stock wheels. Do these stock lug bolts need to be changed to something suitable for use with non countersunk wheels? Should I not be using these aftermarket wheels?
Thanks

RE: Aftermarket Wheels
Been there, pretty frustrating. The pins serve two duties. One to ease wheel installation/removal. The second is to fasten the rotor to the wheel hub assembly. The easy choice is to dremmel the wheel to accept the pin.If you are gun shy on wheel modification, you will have to countersink the rotor to accept a taper screw to fasten the rotor to the hub. Hope this helps!
