Default aftermarket wheels

I just purchased a set of mounted tires over the internet. The wheels were not drilled for the alignment pins. I unscrewed the pins and mounted the wheels anyway. Do these pins serve a function or are they there just to make mounting the wheels easier? The lug holes on the new wheels were not countersunk like the stock alloy wheels on my 850. I needed to mount these snow tires immediatly so the beveled shoulder lug bolts that were on the old wheels were used. Do I need to replace the lug bolts ? Should I even be using these aftermarket wheels?

Thanks

i dont think it will cause much of an issue, i believe that the pin is there to serve two purposes:
1: keep the disc on when the whell is off, and
2: help you to line up the rim.

The pin being removed should not cause a problem at all. I would find lug nuts that are made to fit the wheels you have though. If the lug nuts do not fit the hole in the wheel right I have seen cases where the holes will eventually wear bigger and bigger and the wheel will get lose and come off over the lugs.
