Default Air bag question

I need to replace the upholstery on my drivers seat. To do this I will need to secure the air bag so how do I do that? Can I replace the upholstery myself or do I need to take it to a shop? I might go to PnP to see if they have a car with the same upholstery but what years match my 95 850?

Should be no different from any repair requiring the removal of the seat. Just remember to disconnect the battery prior to unplugging the connectors. For new skins an a how to, check out: http://elwoodindustries.com

I don't have an 850 with side curtain air bags, but I think you may find that there are no wires and no electricity. That's how my 98 is.

Mine has the SIPS system and that means it has an air bag in the side of the back rest of the seat. the manual talks about putting a safe off device in to keep it from setting off.
