AIR FILTER - MANN or K&N?

Mann/OEM. I did not like cleaning and treating the K&N and I personally don't think they work as good, and if you get too much of the oil treatment stuff on it, it can mess up your engine. I change my air filter about every third oil change and buy them from fcpgroton.

K&N here.
Vehicles that I have used it on in the past
1987 Grand National, '00 - present, ~25,000 miles, cone. CAI uncovered and no issues.
1997 Volvo 850 T5, '06 - present, ~ 5,000 miles, drop in, no issues.
1998 AMG Hummer, '02 - present, ~30,000 miles. Extreem use conditions (sand, mud, water, foliage, diesel smoke, etc) and no issues. (mom)
2000 Yukon XL 5.3, '00-'04, 100,000+ miles. Never cleaned, before the truck was sold the air filter meter still read good, it was pegged for the first 40,000 miles. (dad)
2001 Monte Carlo SS, '00-'03, 40,000 miles, uncovered short ram cone.
2001 Jaguar XKR, '02 - present, 30,000+ miles, never cleaned. (mom)
2002 Subaru WRX, '01-'03, 28,000 miles, cai behind open fog light, cleaned once.
2004 Subaru WRX STi, '03-'05, 40,000 miles, never cleaned.
2004 Subaru WRX STi, '05-present, ~10,000 miles, cai and fender liner ripped out. Cleaned once, no issues.
I like K&N and will continue to use them for years to come.
Nick

MANN as stated before is OEM.
K&N is supposed to be good, but a lot of people tend to think it's overrated.
Can't go wrong w/ either, but the K&N is reuseable/cleanable if I remember right..

It's just that everytime I see you post a response, they're useless. I could copy and paste them all in if you like to show you how its all echo of what others have said. You repeat whats already said, or make it obvious that you have no usefulknowledge of your own. Not sure if you're trying to be an active member and feel you have to put a comment in or what. Don't take it personally...just give it a rest unless you have something worth responding.

**** yourself, you're an *******.
Edit: You know what? If you know so much, why the hell are you even on here?
God damn, you're the most arrogant ******* i've ever seen on a forum.
Double edit: If you want a "useful" post, hows about this.
It's all about preference.
Some people believe that reuseable filters do not filter as well as paper. You're not going to get a power increase from K&N, and if you do, it'd be very very minimal.
It's not like you're a race car driver either, so really, the minimal difference (if any) isn't a big deal.
There is no straight answer. Some people swear by K&N, some people think it's absolute trash.
