Alarm box and FOB help !!!
I currently have a 1997 Volvo 850 GLT . I purchased an alarm Box and Key FOB from a local Junk yard for 15 bux The Box # is "9148645 and the remote is "9148646"... Will these two items at least give me Key Less entry ? My ride does not have a box of its own , but has central locking, the flashing lights when I lock the door and also if I open a locked door via a window open, the Lights will flash and the Horn goes off.

Hey now,
If you open the door through the window and the horn honks and the lights flash then your car does, indeed, have an alarm.
I can't recall where but there is a way to reprogram a new key fob to your car.
I'm sure someone here can come up witha link for you as I can't recall where I saw one but I know that I did.
Sorry I can't be more help right now. I'll look around for it tomorrow and try to get it for you.
The rubber pads on my fobs are worn but still work. I just have to press it sharply once and the central system works but sometimes if I press it hard and long, get you mind out of the gutter
, they won't work.
