Default All sorts of problems

I have a 94 850 Turbo. there has been an oil leak in it for a while now, and this whole time i'm thinking that the turbo is going bad and it's passing oil, but i haven't really seen anyone in here talking about their turbo needing to be replaced. so i'm thinking maybe it's some seals going to or from the turbo. when i do drive it for longer periods of time, and i park it, i can smell burning oil, and sometimes it smells like coolant. there was one instance when my dad drove it somewhere and got to his destination, that the dipstick had popped out of the tube and was laying on the engine, so obviously there's some pressure problems somewhere too. any ideas? i don't really want to give up my baby, i'd rather fix her.

Sounds like you need to do the PCV system. You can find plenty of posts on how to do it. Look for the kit from fcpgroton.

I would replace the PCV system and go from there. Also check the turbo return line o-ring.

You need to disconnect the intake manifold to get to the PCV components and need a new maniold gasket upon re-installation:

Keep an eye on the coolant level in the reservoir. Replace coolant if older than 30,000 miles/3 years.

My 1st & 2nd post would help you with a good tune-up:

Good luck & Happy New Year,
