Airbag codes: I have them, but I don't understand them
Hi folks, I recently bought a 2001 V40 with an SRS warning light and with a non-working horn and non-canceling turn signal. The previous owner bought a replacement clockspring for me as part of our deal--I'm not sure if he had the trouble codes pulled up or if he just asked a Volvo tech what he thought the problem was and the tech answered "clockspring", but I accepted this diagnosis and was hopeful that this would be a simple fix.
But no....the new clockspring solved the horn issue at least. Looks like I need to buy a new turn signal stalk to fix the canceling issue. When I took the car to an independent shop today to have the airbag light turned off, for $48 they found (and said they couldn't cancel?) the following four codes. I am including all the text that is visible on the print-out they gave me. The text descriptions appears to be cut off on some or all of these.
SRS-0001 Control module. Internal fault
SRS-0101 SRS indicator lamp. Signal too low. Intern
SRS-0107 Driver airbag, stage 1. Faulty signal. Interr
SRS-011F Driver airbag, stage 2. Faulty signal. Interr
I'll probably stick my head under the dash and see if I can find any loose connectors between the control module and the driver airbag, but does anyone have access to the complete trouble code descriptions, or have any advice on further diagnosing the issue?

tech--
I think you are right. I had a second shop try to clear the codes just to be sure the first shop wasn't trying to cheat me, and they confirmed that the four codes are un-clearable without replacing the control module. The second guy was nice enough to explain that some possible causes could be simply vibration over time or that the vehicle was in an accident and the airbag was replaced but the module was left in. He then proceeded to find evidence that the front fenders and hood had been repainted (and they did a nice job of it).
I can't figure out why someone would go to the trouble to replace an airbag but not the control module, if both are necessary for enabled airbags. Even more so if they had the money for nice bodywork and paint.
Anyway, the cost isn't too bad--the module is $415 for the average joe, or $340 if I can get my dealer friend to buy it for me.
