Alloy wheel painting ( is it worth it ? )
I have as i have been so kindly informed got a T5 with PERSUS 16" alloy wheels, i have seen a lot of dark grey or black wheels on T5`s and think they look really smart. Is it worth painting the alloys i have as i am on a shoe string budget and cant afford to buy any other wheels. thanks y`all
Painting may or may not work out well for you. I've seen them done very nicely as well as looking like crap. It's all about what materials you use and how carefully you prepare the surface.
Personally, i'd get them powder coated. Been thinking about doing it on mine here shortly as i don't want to spend the money for new wheels. I know it's a bit more expensive, but i had it done on my other car and they came out amazing...and the finish is pretty much indestructable. No blemishes or scratches on mine at all after two and a half years.

If I had those wheels I would paint them Grey in a heart beat.
I am going to do the turbo rims on the wifes car grey soon.

I need to find out what color this wheel is, I know they maybe factory but as close as I can get will do.

This is my ride.. I just picked up a set of Cheap Masitaly 17 inch wheels.. THe Chrome is faded and I dont think chrome goes with a Volvo so Im looking to go Graphite .. Sorry for the Cell phone pic and dirty car

I honestly think that paint jobs on wheels are totally dependant on the quality of workmanship over quality of materials.
I'd definitely give it a shot, just go slow and take your time.
Good luck!
