Do the alloy wheel repair services really work? My 2002 Volvo s40 has a bent wheel rim (from a pothole) that I can either repair or replace. To repair it costs less than replacing it ($100.00 vs $225.00). Of course if the alloy wheel repair does not work then I have to get a new wheel anyway.

Absolutely!!

I had a bent rim on my S60R. Called my local rim repair place and they sent a guy over in a truck the next day. Fixed the rim at my place of work for 120 bucks. They were awesome.

 

They should be able to give you a promise of fixing it. If they can't fix it, then you shouldn't have to pay them. Thats my take on it at least...
