Another 850 Oil Leak *w/pics*
I've read some of the other threads about 850 oil leaks. I'm guessing mine is either Turbo Oil return line, or rear main seal, seeing as how our Volvo has 112,000 miles. I'm hoping its just the oil return line, but because I'm new to Volvo's, any help diagnosing will be greatly appreciated.
The Leak: I know it's not much, but when it's the same spot, same size after driving, I'd like to get it taken care of.

I know it's not coming from the top of the motor: It's way to clean.

Now for the oil on the motor pics: Is it coming from midway up on the motor, or higher? You can see the drops of oil collected on the bolt heads.

Turbo pic:

The Passenger Side of the motor is cleaner, higher

The Turbo Side is more oily:

Hoping it's the oil return line? please o' please?
Thanks for all the help!

Yes that would be the turbo return line o-ring in the block leaking. Remove the 2 allen screws in the bottom of the turbo.Remove the little clamp between the 2 lines. Then you should be able to slide the pipe out. Sometimes you have to tweek the cooling line a little to slide the pipe out.
Do you have a part number, or website I can get part # from for the o-ring. Or do I just pull it out and try to match it at the parts store? Is there a specific ring I should get? I've never had to fix an oil leak dealing with turbo's before.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Keep me posted.
Note: Whe you are done you can let it sit for hours running to check for leaks again. But if it is leaking it won't show up till after you BOOST it.

I got the gasket and o-ring yesterday, and I'm going to work on it here in a bit.
*edit* Tried to work on it this morning while I had time. Couldn't get the return line out. I tried everything I could, short of removing the other lines to get them out of the way. I just couldn't quite get it turned the right way or far enough to get it out. I have to have the gas tank heat shield bushings replaced per the recall, so I'll probably just have them do the o-ring, etc. when they do that. I hate to pay for it, but today was my one day with time for the next few weeks and I just couldn't get the return line out. [:@]

If you had slightly tweeked the line to the left of where it bolted to the turbo it should have slid right out.
