Default ''Pics'' of oil leak. Help

I'm including these pics in hopes that someone can help identify where this leak is coming from. The area is located on the drivers side of the oil pan, which is not in the pics but bolted to the side of the oil pan. The small notch seems to be part of the main unit. If you'll notice there is no damage to the hydraulic lines, breaks? Therefore, I haven't hit anything in order to cause that small notch but it does seem odd. 96 850 GLT non turbo 100k mi. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could not get any of the pics to load. At any rate, oil leaks are caused by two things:
1. Clogged PCV system.
2. Old seals.

You should check behind your cam sensor and distributor. If those areas are dry, you likely have a RMS leak.

Pics would not load but as RSPI said, PCV system or old seals. If it was a turbo I would say a prime candidate would be the turbo drain seal, but.................

One thing to be said for closely checking the rear cam seals — they're easy to replace. And a leak from them can get all over everything on the bottom of the engine in my experience.
