Default Another noise question

I am getting a noise from the center of the dash or even more over on the drivers side that sounds like a small motor with a bad bushing. it starts around 45 MPH but below that it doesn't happen. If I speed up to 45 it comes on and when I slow down it goes away. Any one have any ideas of what is located in that area? If the car had the old style mechanical speedometer I would look at that.

OK, this does seem to be speed related. If I speed up until it starts and then shift into neutral the sound is still there until the car slows below 45. Are there repairable parts of the speedometer such as gears that are replaceable?

Are you sure its not wind noise from the trim piece that goes along the top of the windshield? Even the slightest lift will bring in a buzzing noise.

I think you got it. That trim is loose above the drivers side. Any suggestions on the best stuff to stick it back down?

Take it by a glass shop and see if they will tack it down for you. Its a simple thing for them to do and good customer service.
