Another oil leak only different

So, I replaced the entire PCV system, drivers side rear cam seal, turbo oil return line gasket/seal in attempts to track down the leak on my '96 850 T wagon. Well, the SOB leak is still there and with the engine clean, it appears to be coming from the gasket just above the oil pan ,not the oil pan itself, but above it. Per the haynes manual this is the "intermediate" part of the block and it looks like a pain in the *** to do a gasket change. Anyone with experience with this issue ? is this a real bear to do or not so bad. I have a 4 post hoist, so getting it in the air to work under it is no prob. Can this be done from underneath without too much trouble ? Maybe all I need to do is retorque the bolts once I get the pan off--don't know. Any suggestions ?
Thanks for any/all expertise in advance !
