Just an update. I tore it down and got the head rebuilt, and put the head back on today. We got the cams back in and called it a day to let the sealant set. Just parts and pieces tomorrow, shouldn't be too much problem. Anyone need a set of matched customized exhaust valves? I will let them go dirt cheap.....

No extra parts, no missing parts, cranked over on the third spin, runs like new. Hallelujah!

Ah, read back through the entire thread. I guess something moved while you were doing your cam seals. Did you ever figure out what went wrong? Maybe if you share that, other's will avoid the same mistake.

The mistake I made was using the spark advance timing mark on the harmonic balancer instead of the timing mark on the crank gear.

Ouch, I have seen that. The knotch on the edge or the dimple on the face?

No more smoke from the exhaust, better fuel mileage, and no leaks on the motor. Very happy to be done with it.

Glad to hear everything's fine now. Anyway, a defective oil pump could poorly damage the engines of some brand new car just as the case of BMW. The German automaker BMW AG has frozen the sales and shipping of its 2013 M5 and M6 designs. A recall is coming, because of a defective motor oil pump that could poorly damage the motor. In addition, if you are in the market to purchase or sell a new or used auto get the ideal Ford at Gus Johnson Ford. You can check out this site here for more info: Click here!
