how to tell if the spring seat is bad? i know my drivers side strut mount one of the stds broke all it does is spin, it doesn't make noise when im driving but there is excess vibration when going over fairly smooth roads, that were nice and smooth when i got the car, i know its not tire related, ive tried other known good balanced wheels to eliminate that, plus it pulls to the drivers side most of the time. the struts are new, the sway bar ends are new ipd hds, new brakes, i have not replaced the spring or strut mounts.

 

The way I found mine was to pop the hood and push down on the side I heard the noise from. When i pushed down, I could see the cap on the strut moving around and stud on the strut moving pretty high compared to the other side.
