Default Blinker lights stop working when brakes applied

When my lights are on, the blinkers blink very fast then when I apply the brakes they stop all together until I release the brakes

Check your ground connections.
Is the car wired for a trailer?
Is only one side blinking fast?
Are any of the light bulbs burned out?
What happens when you turn the hazards on?

Where are the grounds that would affect this?

It is not wired for a trailer.
It started as one side but is now affecting both sides.
On the dash it says there is a light burnt out however when I check all lights work.....
I have had two things happen 1. the hazards will not blink at all 2. the hazards will blink fine but will stop when I apply the brakes?

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.

There should be ground points bye the taillights.Check all the bulbs and sockets in the rear for corrosion.
Also check the plugs fro corrosion as well.
