boost
I have a 1994 850 Turbo with BSR ECU and Cat back exhaust. The car over heated a year or so ago, and i replaced the motor and turbo (both Used). After i over heated the car, it went into a limp mode and will only go to 5 psi. I have replaced all my hoses, intercooler, and vaccum. I dont know where to look next. Possibly O2 sensors? the maf sensor, and the sensor where the 3 hoses come in from the turbo is new. I have alot of codes that come up, and i know the car is old, but i just want my boost back..
Any help would be appreciatted.

Your vehicle is pre-1996. You should be able to pull the codes and reset without special tools. Locate the diagnostic unit to the right of the windshield washer fluid filler cap.

RE: boost
i ran the codes, got a O2 sensor reading. I replaced the Sensor and now my #2 socket on the dianosis reads 1-1-1
does anyone know other reasons why I am only running 5 psi? if i put my ecu in another car that car runs fine...so thats out. IF i pull the hose off the wasteate it boosts right up.
Has anyone ever put a manual boost controller on?
i need to figure this out...A 850 with 5 psi boost = no fun

RE: boost
Yep, find the part that is causing the problem. Don't go around randomly swapping out parts like the turbo.
If you figure out that it is in fact the BCS (Boost Control Solenoid), then go ahead and install an MBC if you'd like. What you don't want to do is have mods with an existing problem.
