ACC inoperative

ACC inoperative
Just purchased a 96 850R. ECC worked but blower fan sounded like a birds chirping. Pulled out the blower fan and the bushing on the fan blade side was worn and had play. Oiled it well and reinstalled. During this time had the battery run down too far (because doors open and working on burned out lights too)and had to jump it off. The blower fan and ACC worked for 1/2 day after reinstalling without any noise before everything stopped. Now on startup ECC flashes lights for about 15 - 20 seconds and is inoperative along with the air conditioner and blower fan.
So I would think just the blower fan is pulling too many amps causing the ECC to fault out. I've read some other threads so should I just replace the blower motor and that will solve my problem because it seems like the most logical and less espensive? If I get just the motor can I take the fan/blades off the other and successfully mount it on the new one(less expensive yet)? Base off my sequence of events I shouldn't need any resistors should I? Anything else?
Am I on course or have I missed something? Please advise...
Thanks, Guy
