Default Boost leak?

I have noticed lately that while driving my car that if i hit the gas hard the boost hits hard like normal but it kind if spikes High then drops down to a lower boost level. My guess is this loss of boost is from a leak? Does anyone know of areas on the intercooler piping that are common for leaks? or should i just buy new intercooler piping and just hope for the best? or could it not even be a boost leak?

Thanks, Kyle

First check the rubber hoses good for cracks or holes.

it might not even be the intercooler piping. i had the same problem with my 95 850 and it was a vacum line leak! look under the throttle body cover. there are a couple of tubes down there. there might be a hole or something in one. i replaced mine and my car ran like it was brand new.
