Default Brake Lights



Our 1996 850 has no brake lights. I looked for the switch under the brkae pedal but couldn't find it. Can someonr tell me where it is?</P>

heres the instructions from the haynes for removal:</P>


1.)Detatch the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.</P>


2.)Remove the trim panel under the instument panel on the driver's side. On cars equipped with an airbag, remove the kneeguard beneath the steering column.</P>


3.)Depress the brake pedal slightly then push the stop light switch towards the pedal to release the locking sleeve</P>


4.)Pull the locking sleeve towards the switch plunger as far as it will go</P>


5.) Compress the switch side retaining catches and withdraw the switch from the pedal bracket. Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the switch.</P>
