Default brakes

When I pulled the code for A3 I got 444, which i was informed =No supply to hydraulic unit valves. I tried clearing it but it didn't work. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a blockage before the hydraulic valves? Does it have anything to do with the brake pads, rotors, etc because they are pretty shot. I'd appreciate any help that you could provide.

Default RE: brakes

I believe it is electrical. Those kind of problems are rare on those cars. The older cars didn't have much ABS problems.
Does the ABS system still function. If so I wouldn't worry to much about it at the moment.
