Default brakes

When I pulled the code for A3 I got 444, which i was informed =No supply to hydraulic unit valves. I tried clearing it but it didn't work. Does anyone know what this means? Is it a blockage before the hydraulic valves? Does it have anything to do with the brake pads, rotors, etc because they are pretty shot. I'd appreciate any help that you could provide.

I believe it is electrical.Those kind of problems are rare on those cars.The older cars didn't have much ABS problems.
Does the ABS system still function.If so I wouldn't worry to much about it at the moment.
