Default broken rear seat latch, 850 wagon

The latch which keeps the seat back from folding forward is broken on the passenger side. The one with the red "lock" lever.

I have sawed a small hole in the plastic on the rear of the seat back and I stick a heavy screwdriver in there to lever something around until it unlatches. But I don't do it often enough to remember the trick of what exactly I need to move, so it is a PITA.

I have the feeling that something is just popped out of alignment. But I don't know how to expose the mechanism. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

It is a real Pita!!

You have to buy new clips and pretty much remove the seat to get into it.

What clips & how do I remove the seat back and then access the inside of the seat back?

Thats the really bad part the seat needs to be unlatched to get it out.

The clips that hold the plastic on the end of the top of the seat.
You have to push the center in to remove the clip. The center falls inside the seat almost being lost forever.
