Bumper material -needed to patch a hole
1995 850 Wagon
A guy just backed up up into my front bumper with a pickup truck and punched a 3" diameter hole thru the skin of the bumper and into the foam below.
I'd like to get a suitably thick & strong material to make a patch to glue over the hole. I presume its a urethane material, so I'll use that type of glue. If its "meltable" material I might even be able to use a vinyl seat hole repair kit to heat melt the patch flush.
The car is the pewter grey color, so I want a grey material.

I wondered about the same thing as Huzz.
Epoxy works on pretty much anything, but you have to follow the directions strictly and must avoid getting it on the wrong spots. I recently used a JB-Weld type of epoxy (though it was not JB Weld brand), and it was dark grey.
Patch, sand, polish and it should look fine. Turtle Wax used to sell colour-specific polishing compound and that was the best polish, but for some reason they took it off the shelf[8D].
Good luck,
JPN
