A/C problem, ECC blinking lights...
Hi, when I turn my 95, 850, Turbo S/W, the A/C lights in the ECC (Electronic Climate Control) start blinking, it stopped doing it for a while, but now it started doing it again, after like 20 seconds they stop blinking, and everything was normal, I mean, the A/C started working normally, until today, it starts for like 20, 30 secs. and then stops, the blower stops and sometimes starts again, the compressor stops too, something that didn't happen before because I could feel cold air coming from the vents, right now is subit death, the blower and the compressor stop at the same time, I checked the connector to the blower, it looks ok, it has power, checked the relay that goes behind the radiator and looks ok to me, so right now I don't know what else should I check, suggestions?, thanks... RE: A/C problem, ECC blinking lights...
Good evening,
You might want to try clearing the codes for the climate control system. If your 850 is 1995 model, there should be a diagnostic terminal in the engine compartment, right in front of the ECU. For procedure, please refer to some of the posts, service manual or another person's reply. Socket B-1 is used for climate control diagnosis.
Volvo crammed too many diagnostic codes, many of them were unnecessary or too sensitive.
Good luck,
JPN

Hi, a month has passed and I haven't had the time to work on my station, when you say "clearing the codes for the climate control system", what do you mean with that and how does the diagnostic terminal looks like?, another question, socket B1, where is it, how does it looks like?, I would appreciate your help, I'll try to work on this car this weekend, thanks...

Your is a 1995 it is a split year for OBDI and OBDII.
If you have OBDI then the box for pulling the codes is under the hood by the washer fluid fill.
Pull the covers off and you will see the A box and B box.
You insert the wire from the A box into the B1 slot then pull the codes.
