As the picture above shows, always a good idea to replace the output shaft seal that sits in the differential to prevent it from leaking in the future and having to pull the axle again to replace it. The seal is under ten bucks.
That being said if my eyes and ears are correct the noise happens once the wheel stops. Yes ???
If so that pretty much rules out brakes and the axles and only leaves something transmission internal. From the sound I would guess it's brakes but each time the wheel fully stopped spinning is when the noise starts.
I haven't run into anything like this before.
The title says the car won't move but in the video it shows the tire spinning. When it's on the ground and you put it in park what does it do or not do ??

Process of elimination. If it made a creaking, grinding metallic noise while cranking then I'd say it's the flexplate but if it starts "normally" without this noise then that's out. To stop the vehicle from running it would have to be totally broken into two pieces.
From the noise the only guess I can make is something in the torque converter broke loose. That is by far not an exact science but the noise it makes doesn't sound like anything the clutch packs or gears would make.
You're pretty much stuck at pulling and replacing the trans or taking it to a shop.

It's not good.
Without both axles attached the one axle will not spin at all. All the power goes to the axle that is the easiest to turn or missing.
Worst case and I'm not sure if Volvo's do it but the gears in the differential can shift and get off center, preventing the axle from being re-installed. That's why you are supposed to put in a plug that engages the seal and also holds the gear in the differential in place if you pull the axle and need to move the vehicle with the one remaining wheel in contact with the ground.
