Default camshaft position at install???

Im sorry, i know everyone has posted the whole "my car wont start" and you guys tell them to check the cps but they never come back!!! I need more info [:-]... I had my marks aligned... so i thought. (kids so no to drugs), anyways when i got it all togethor i got the everything is turning but no spark, plus it was cranking kinda weak. when i went to check the marks the crankshaft and front cam were still good but the back was ahead like an inch and a half. so how do you place the cams onto the head? I think i understand the front because i had the distributer to go off of, but do i put the back on exactly opposite or what??? HELP!

Default RE: camshaft position at install???

Hi,

You may need camshaft timing tools:

http://www.quickbrickmotorsports.com/prod_camtool.html

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Volvo...QQcmdZViewItem

Refer to a service manual for specific adjustment procedures. If generic manual (Haynes, etc...) does not contain sufficient info, try VADIS (electronic manual) or consider getting a factory manual from:

https://www.volvotechinfo.com/index....m.serviceparts

I hope this helps.
