Can cold affect the tranny
We hit 10F below zero last night. This morning it turned over fine, I let it warm up for about a minute and then drove away. It wouldn't go above 20 MPH. I stopped shut it off, took off. Again, won't go over 20 MPH. I continue to drive another 300 yards, stop, put it in park, back in drive, and now it works fine.
Drove 10 miles to work and no problems. Could it have been the cold? It's about 20F now.

RE: Can cold affect the tranny
Hello,
There was another post with a similar issue lately, here is the link. There is some good information that I think can really help.

Keith
Thanks for the link. Have you had any issues since you mechanic did the work??
Like I said it was friggin COLD here last night and I only have about 2 gallons left in the tank. I just figured the cold had something to do with it. It ran fine once it got going which made me think there was water in the line that froze.
Does this sound like a possibility?
