Default ABS module fried. how does it affect my braking?

I'm not feeling any problems but every so often I hear a rubbing sound for about 10 seconds and the ABS light comes on. light stays on about 30 seconds and goes off. my braking is still very good with no issues. so do I really need the ABS module this very moment or can it wait a while?

That is most likely the ABS pump motor running when it should not. It can affect braking if it happens when you are slowing down.

Also ABS is disabled.

I've driven mine for about a year w/ ABS light on. My mechanic said it will eventually have to be replaced. Noticed decreased power recently and dealer says ABS has to go. $900 + tax later and I'm ready to sell this thing

Why not just spend about $100.00 and get it rebuilt?
