Default Can you estimate my car's HP? +Q

I have a base model 97 850 which I believe comes with 180 HP stock. I put a K&N air filter and a magnaflow catback exhaust. I was thinking 191. What do you think?

Question: I'll have $400 to spend. What would be the best investment to gain HP? I'm already buying sports brakes (just the front for now, $80). A mechanic shop near me does tune-ups for $25 but since I did a stage 0 tune should I even bother? Or would I gain at least a couple HP?

Seafoamed it just now. Now I have a smooth idle and my vibrations went away. Sweet! Seafoam just helps restore the original power, correct?

Yes, it just cleans things up.

A tuneup on these cars is really nothing more than plugs, cap, rotor andplug wires. You should have done all of that along with the stage zero service.

There really isn'tmuch you can do to enhance the performance of a N/A car. There is a ton of stuff you can do to the turbos.

You can do suspension upgrades, and interior stuff, but that is about it when it comes to NAs.
If you want preformance....Sell the NA and get a turbo'd model.

That's what I did.

I had a 1972 Celica that I parted out. I bought a 95 GLT, sold it to a friend, and bought my current car: 1996 850 Turbo Wagon.

I love it.

needs minor things

I wanted a fun daily, and this is about as weird and fun as you can get.

I'm known for owning unique cars, and this fits the bill.

I spent three weeks searching for a turbo 850.

Found a good one. You can too.
