Just wanted to let you guys know, I took my center console light out today successfully. I called all the local parts stores and noone had them and I didn't want to wait for something to ship, so I replaced it with an LED. It actually looks good with the white light, and I'll never have to worry about it burning out for a long long time. For anyone thats been following my posts, I took a plug out and they look brand new, they say Autolite Platnium on them, and the wires look new too, but they seem to be a generic brand or something. But it looks like I've got a pretty good volvo on my hands, knock on wood. Next thing to do is flush the tranny fluid.
By the way, techs directions for getting the console are pretty good, but the Haynes manual has some nice pictures in it to make it easier.
