Default change windshield wiper

O.k., I admit this is a duh question. Having never changed a wiper blade on this 850 I can't figure out how the release catch works.
Thanks! jb

I just did one last night. There is a clip under the arm. Just squeeze the clip and pull the whole wiper blade off.

I realize that's what the manual says. I see a bracket there, but I don't see anything that can be squeezed. The wiper rotates. I'm supposed to rotate it to a right angle with the arm. Then all I see is a bracket with two fixed sides, nothing to squeeze.
Is there an enlarged picture somewhere?
Thanks.

Here is the pic of my 850 blade. The tip of the screwdriver is on the release lever.

Default not the same design

Thanks for the pic. I see the problem, mine doesn't have the release tab. I poked a screwdriver into very small rectangular opening, tried to pry the metal in there, nothing seems to move. It kind of looks the one in rspi's pic but without the tab. Any ideas?

same thing happened to me.are you pushing down on the blade? push straight down onto the arm..also by "I see the problem, mine doesn't have the release tab." do you mean it broke off? you should still be able to pry at it with a small screwdriver.

If you look just above the tab, there is a hole in the arm that is fulled with the release latch. Push in the latch with a small cross tip driver or something and pull down at the same time.

How often do you guys change your blades? I cant wait to change mine ever year or two.

Worst-case scenario, you can simply hack out the clip with a good pair of diagonal cutters. It's only plastic.

I change mine to winter blades in October and back to "regular" blades in April. I live in a VERY snowy part of NY State though
