Default charging troubles

It seems if the car sits for more than 3 days, it dies. I know I should run it more, but it's only a 10 min. walk to work, so it'd be worse driving there. I still have lights, but not quite enough juice to start the car. This is the second or third week in a row its done it. Getting frustrated.

Sounds like you have a short or a light that is staying on. You should check the glove box light. If that works properly then hook a ammeter up to the battery and see how much is being drawn. A few (hundred?) milliamps is normal because of the clock. If you are drawing more then start pulling fuses and look for a drop in current.

Also start the car and check and make sure it is charging good. It should be like 13.50 to 13.75. First check at the battery. Then check at the Alt. See how much of a difference there is between the battery and Alt.

We are seeing a bunch of cars with bad positive battery ends lately.
