Default Check Engine light on

Hello all and Happy New Year. I just had my mechanic check the code due to Check Engine light on. The code read: 0245 Turbo Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid A Low.

The car is running great but my mechanic will not work on any problem involving the turbo. I know of a great Volvo specialist about 30 miles from where I live but was hoping that someone has come across this code.

97 850 T-5 181,000 miles.

Thanks for any help

Man, you need to find a more knowledgeable tech if he's afraid of turbos..

Has anyone been in there working on it recently? Maybe left something disconnected?

Of the few threads i found on this code, this one seemed to be most helpful:

When my car is running good, I usually note the code and reset it. If it comes back I deal with it then.

Thanks for your help. I have been looking around and have found that it may be a blown emissions fuse. My only problem is that I have gone through the listing of all of my fuses and cannot find one that deals with emissions. Any help on its location would be appreciated!

See my question under your new "emissions fuse" posting.
BTW was that information on such a fuse something you found on a Volvo site?

Yes, I found it on the Matthews Volvo forum. He had the same problem that I am having regarding a p0245 code after installing a new 02 sensor. He said that he replaced the emissions fuse and all was well. Thanks for any help.
