Default Climate control

Every once in a while, my A/C and REC light flash for a little while, usually upon start up, and occasionally while driving (rare).

I know sometimes the blower motor could be bad.

BUT, my car heats up really quickly and spits the air out at normal speeds.

A/C I think works...lol. It did when I bought the car anyway, and I have used it a few times just to make sure it works.

But lately we've had sub zero temps, or in the teens.

What could be causing that?

Read the codes from port B-1 and post them back.

If you can clear the service light or pull the engine codes you can pull those. In the post that has all the links to the frequent used links there is one that tells what the codes mean.
