Hi all

I have a small issue with my climate control unit in my 1993 850 T5. The unit has burnt out, I have opened the unit and found a couple of capacitors burnt out, and am having some issue locating a replacement. The local dealer quoted a brand new unit at over $1000 aus.
The unit part number is 9144352 and I know this has been superseded.

Any suggestions as to part numbers that will work or a place to get a replacement would be grateful.

 

You may try a recycling yard for a replacement or see if somebody posted anything on ebay. You can also see if you can find a US recycling yard willing to ship internationally via car-part.com. I'd also look at volvopartswarehouse.com to see if you can get a current part number or at least an idea of what years are interchangeable (ie can you use a part from a 94-97 etc)

 

These are a common item on ebay. In fact, I've got one that is out of a 1997 that I would be happy to ship to you. Automatic temperature control. Is that interchangeable with the 93? I would think so.

EDIT - google search shows 93-97 are the same. Would you be interested for $50 US plus shipping?
