Default Custom Wagon Rear Cross Brace and Intake Installed *PICS*

Hey guys, I have been away for a while due to crap with school and such.

My friend Mike and I finally made our first prototype rear cross brace for the wagon.

This one is heavier than what QBM used to sell.

I don't have rear seats in mine anymore, so we aren't sure it would fit with the seat belt pins where the brace mounts to, but height clearance to fold the seat down is not an issue. But since most wagon owners don't have the seat, here it is.

It does fit under the rear cover, but I don't have one right now, but I borrowed one from a junk yard I know of to test fit, and it fits.

Here are a few pics.

And a shot of my custom intake:

For the intake, I cut the flexible section off, took a pipe from a Honda Accord and cut it down a bit, and used a blue Spectre coupler with inside spacer from Auto Zone. The hose that goes near the filter was spliced into my coupler in between the MAF and the hard pipe.

Works great! Sounds better.

If you guys like the braces, we are going to start making and selling them. If anyone's interested, let me know and we'll go from there.

We're unsure of pricing at this point, so that's TBA. This thread is to showcase two new add-ons to the car.

It DOES make the rear much stiffer. Very nice.

Hmm.. gonna keep my eyes on this for updates especialy if the rear brace gets mass produced at a reasonable price. I know the 850 I just got needs a brand new suspension as a whole but I can tell it handles like a small boat.

Going to mini-thread jack here (sorry ), but are there any aftermarket support for sway bars or even strut bars for the 850 Wagon?

We can make them any time.

Let me know.

If you want a special color we might be able to do that as well.

The front ones will be interesting.

Let me do some research.

Mike, my buddy, actually lives in Montana right now, and we did lots of shipping to get one right...lol.

The front I might be able to do with some extra stuff I have laying around.

Let me check and I will post that up too!

Keep me posted.
On e-bay there is one for $65.00 shipped but I want to see what you can make before I decide anything.

The ones I like are way to much $$$$

I would go ahead with the eBay one. I just saw those. IDK if they are actual OBX or not, but I'm sure it does the job.

For instance, its going to be a while before I can even begin to screw with that stuff.

But I will keep everyone posted.

For now, buy those eBay ones up! Who knows how long they'll have those on for.

If they go away after a while, then I will step in and see what I can do.

Probably the same price too, but I'll custom paint stuff if people would like.
