You don't see many threads praising our cars when they're on point, only when they have an issue. Just wanted to say damn my car feels so good.

For years I owned a 1971 VW bus that was a bit like a helicopter — two hours maintenance for one hour flight time. I finally hit a day where everything seemed to be working. Sounded great, brakes worked, everything was as good as it was going to get. And I realized that I should put up an ad and try to sell it that day. Which I did. Bittersweet, but sensible.

Since my oil cooler line burst and sprayed oil throughout the engine (and windshield) everything is oiled up and runs smoother. It will get a thorough bath very soon.

Seriously, it runs very well for a 15 year old, over 200k mile car "knock on wood". I just drove to Iowa and back to NYC. Prepping it for another big trip on Spring Break.

The days of my old Volvo 240 maxing at 80 mph on CA hills are long gone. Until lately, I seriously had doubts if any Volvo could do 81 mph....

It's Palm Beach, I-95 South. yes there is moderate traffic but the camera was focused on the speedo mostly. Some could say i'm being just a little reckless but I try to be as careful as possible given the conditions.

It was very unnerving to stare at your speedo and not the road - I guess I'm never a passenger so I'm always looking at the traffic!
