Call me crazy but is there any chance a platinum limited edition came with cloth seats?

That just explains what was available in '96. A couple of those Volvo pages had errors on them.

I don't wanna steal the thread or anything, but what, besides the paint, was different on the plat edition?

Not hijacking at all; that's what I'm trying to find out too.

RSPI: Do you know? Does the plat edition always have the plat paint? And like he said, what else is different? If you can't trust volvo's website, who can you trust?

Well, they have webmasters that post those pages, long after the fact.

When you look at the spec sheet, you may notice that they only came loaded, not many options. The main "different" features were:
- color
- stereo (shared with the R)
- dash trim color shared with the R
- wheels
- limited numbers, I think only 1,200 were sold in the USA.

The page also states that there was a few options like the alloy wheels, heated seats and Tracks which were standard.

Went and took a look at this car a few days ago; first thing i notice (from 30 ft away) are four sizable dents on rt side of hood and rt front fender. WTF? I think he photo-shopped that pic in the ad!

Anyway had a few other issues that i might have been willing to deal with, but I can't fix that kind of body damage reasonably so i chilled on that one.

The search continues..

No way!!! I went and looked at a car that was suppose to be a T-5R once. Drove 225 miles to see it. I came about that close to sending those folks a travel bill and suing them if they failed to pay it because it was NOT a T-5R.
