My dipstick broke. There are several in my local yard, but a guy at the dealer once told me that Volvo changed the length of the dipstick at some point, and I need to make sure I have the correct one or my oil level will be off. I don't know how significantly, but why take a chance, right?

Anybody know the difference in length, and what years / models are supposed to have which dipstick?

hmmmm, Is this true for the trans dip as well? I found some on Amazon but nothing about different lengths.

 

If you know where you were at for level than you can just try one to see if it's reading correctly.
