My distributor rotor or cap have not been changed in a long time and I'm planning on doing a tune-up. If my engine is running fine, not misfiring or anything, is this something that should be changed anyways? Improve idling and over all running of the engine? When I say they haven't been replaced for a long time, I mean a really long time.

 

I would change it if it has been a while. It should run a little better as well.
