Default DIY: Volvo 850 Cabin Filter Replacement (Video Tutorial)

Video tutorial on how to replace the cabin filter on a Volvo 850. This applies to both the sedans and wagons. The filter is located underneath the front cowl on the passenger side of the vehicle. There are also 2 types of cabin filters, so before you purchase a new filter, determine which type it is.

Procedure:
-open the hood and locate the filter on the passenger side of the vehicle under the plastic cowl
-remove the 3 T-25 torx screws along the front of the cowl
-once they are removed, pull straight up, and you will be able to see the cabin filter under the cowl
-pull the cabin filter tab upwards and side forward
-now remove the cabin filter out to the side of the cowl
-reinstall new filter in reverse
